So, it turns out that I've not been posting at my usual space for quite some time because I've been so busy setting up our dotcom and portfolio! I'm so happy and excited to finally have our own domain and have a site to call our own to showcase our photography. It'll make things so much easier when people enquire or want to see samples of our work. Instead of sifting through all the stuff on my blogspot, this new site has everything properly organised into categories and sections. I couldn't be prouder!
Anyway ,here are some BTS and my picks from Krystina's makeup trial some weeks ago. This is the first time that I've ever had to wait for a certain date before I could post pictures (Krystina's wedding was this Saturday, congrats!!) so my fingers have been itching ever since!
Also, this is our first ever beauty shoot (for weddings no less) so I'm really quite happy with how the pictures turned out. Learned a lot on retouching as well!
I'm using the word first a lot today, which is always a good sign because it shows we're going new places with our photography and having new experiences and learning new things. :D

I used my 1-day old 85mm f/1.8 USM lens throughout the whole shoot and was blown away by the sharpness and autofocus (so quiet and fast!). No iffy focus issues here, 90% of all shots were tack sharp even on f/1.8, and the bokeh was dreamy as dreamy can be. Only thing would be chromatic abberation is a bit on the strong side but with powerful post-processing now, who really cares?
So far I've only used the 85mm on a few bare occasions as the focal length and MFD isn't really flexible for day-to-day usage (my 50mm is still the best for that), so I'm really looking forward to using it for future portrait shoots or street portraits.
